Flora Pearce has had over 30 years’ experience working with families, couple and individuals. As a trained family and couple therapist. Flora’s focus is facilitating the individual’s knowledge of themselves within the context of their significant relationships. This work may focus on Family of Origin history that can make links to current behaviours and thoughts that are troubling and need attention.
Symptom relief as well as understanding what drives those specific symptoms are tackled. As well as conducting a Private Practice, Flora has had many years’ experience at the Royal Children’s Hospital in metabolic and genetic medicine supporting children and their families living with chronic illnesses. She has also during her time at the Royal Children’s Hospital, engaged in a variety of roles encompassing clinical, supervisory and teaching.
Her special areas of experience are individuals and families living with serious chronic illness, genetic counselling, infertility and other specific areas of physical and mental health. She also provides clinical supervision to Social Workers and Genetic Counsellors.
In 2009 she completed a Masters of Couple and Relationship Counselling conferred by Latrobe University. She has served as a Board Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy for 9 years and is Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with Medicare and has a provider number.
Couples and Family Counselling, Chronic Illness Counselling, Infertility Counselling, Bicultural Relationship difficulties.
Flora is able to conduct the appointments in Greek if required.
